Beautiful St Augustine Home Transformed by Brand New Roof

We had a pleasure to work on a gorgeous house in the country’s oldest cities this Summer.

Owens Corning Duration architectural shingles in Estate Gray, Owens Corning Weatherlock Specialty peel and stick were used over the entire roof deck. Our crew also installed Owens Corning DuraRidge hip and ridge caps, as well as aluminum drip edge and aluminum off-ridge attic vents. Roof Vent Boot Guards were used over lead plumbing boots.

It is situated within close proximity from the water, so we went over all the details with the home owners and explained how using aluminum was the best option for the drip edge and vents.

We also replaced the chimney cap (aluminum), wind band (aluminum), and spark arrestor (stainless steel) on the chimney.

The roof originally had five off-ridge attic vents, and we installed one additional for a total of six to meet ventilation requirements. After our initial inspection, we learned that there had been a previous repair to the chimney and a wall near it. Prime Roofing team installed new aluminum flashing in those areas to keep the new roof watertight for the future.

As part of our service, we make sure the house and entire area surrounding it is spotless after each job is done. Therefore, in this case, in order to protect the pool screen from damage our crew used foam boards. Sheets of plywood were used for the paver driveway. Our team cleans the property so no screws, material scraps and debris is left behind.

“It makes me feel so good that the house is so healthy now! I’m very happy with the outcome” the home owner said in an interview later on. Thank you Shirley, it was our pleasure!
