The final landmark in Jacksonville Beach that you have to see is the Castaway Island Preserve. This beautiful preserve allows you to walk along a boardwalk that is right between the Intercoastal Waterway and a salt marsh ecosystem. This is a unique location that allows you to observe marshland wildlife. If you are looking for an opportunity for your family to get out in nature and learn about different ecosystems and wildlife then the Castaway Island Preserve should be on your itinerary.
